The Company

Wertman Development Corporation has been dedicated to the development and operation of quality residential rental apartment buildings since 1962. Out latest development project is the construction of a luxury condominium building with approx 5000 square feet of retail on the ground floor and 10 boutique style living quarters. Situated at the corner of 12th Avenue and Arbutus, this new construction will feature large sized floor plans, high ceilings, nine foot doors and high end finishings. Contempary style and design will be similar to our recently built project, the Deseo Apartment building, at 2226 West 12th Avenue of which we designed and constructed in 2003.

We are also involved in a renovation of a 47 unit apartment building in North Vancouver. Harbourview Terraces, built in 1977, will soon feature brand new kitchens, bathrooms and common areas, as well as upgrades to all water pipes and building services. The new rental units will be fitted with brand new appliances, including dishwashers, available for occupancy in the new year.

Our future project is the construction of a 90 unit Luxury senior care facility on the 600 block of west 41st Ave. We will offer luxury suites with full care, meals, housekeeping and a variety of regularly planned social events. Currently in the design and rezoning stages in tandem with the new Oakridge redevelopment plan.

In 1997 we expanded into the upgrading of commercial office buildings as well as creating and managing office space for Vancouver's professional market. Our commercial portfolio currently includes the Hycroft Medical Centre at 3195 Granville Street, 1199 West Pender St. and the recently renovated Guildford Medical Centre. All three of these buildings expierenced complete overhauls, with new lobby areas, new double glazed windows and upgrades to all building mechanical systems.
